These are the various 'alternatives' available


Water Exercises
The session starts with a gentle warm-up to avoid cramp.
Music is then played to accompany a series of movements that aims to encourages flexibility, mobility and release of tension in the muscles. Members work at their own fitness level. The session lasts about 20 minutes.


Ai-Chi
The concepts of Tai Chi and Qi Gong integrated with Shiatsu and Watsu Techniques. It is performed in shoulder depth water using a combination of deep breathing and slow broad movements of the arms, legs and torso. Regular practice benefits all internal organs, particularly the heart, liver and lungs, while also improving flexibility and co-ordination. The ideal exercise for people who don’t want to exert themselves.


Floatsation
A mattress constructed from small plastic balls in netting. Just lay back relax, and let the strain and tension drift away from your body. Floating in the Dead Sea may be the ultimate in floating experience, but this is the next best thing and it’s available in Hull! Other floating aids available.
